Dale Henry Lewis

Dale Lewis, 69, of Grand Haven passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital. He was born on August 17, 1945 to the late Percy and Clarice (Smith) Lewis in Muskegon, MI. Dale, also known as “Resale Dale”, enjoyed buying and selling cars and restoring old classic cars. He was a member of the West Michigan Street Rod Association. Dale could be found riding around on his scooter going to garage sales. He spent his winters in Florida and loved to dance. Dale was a huge Michigan State Spartan fan and followed the Detroit Lions and Tigers as well as NASCAR, especially Dale Jr. He loved spending time with his friends, family and grandchildren. He is survived by his family, wife, Patricia; daughters, Brenda (John) Cucci of Chicago, IL, Angela (Cory) Welch of Grand Rapids, Robyn (Jake) MacKeller of Grand Haven; son, Jeff (Jill) Lewis of TX; grandchildren, Sydney, Annika, Jake, Luke, Kate, J.D., Grace, Miya, Cash and Gentry; sisters, Irma Frazine of Grand Rapids, Thelma Alfultis of Fruitport; brothers, Jerry Lewis of Spring Lake, Jim Lewis of Fruitport, Earl (Pat) Lewis of Spring Lake; brothers-in-law, Louie Klein of Fruitport, Steve Klop of Scottville. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Klein and Janet Klop. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Elzinga officiating. Interment will be in Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery. Friends and relatives may greet the family from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
