Betty Jeanne (Anderson) Kasemodel

Mrs. Betty Jeanne Kasemodel, age 96 of Grand Haven, passed away on July 18, 2019 at a local nursing home.  She was born April 14, 1923 in Grand Haven to the late Louis and Stella (Fetherstone) Anderson.  Betty married Walter C. Kasemodel on December 23, 1944 in Grand Haven.  He passed away in 1992. 

She was the buyer and store manager of Steketee’s for 24 years and prior to that, was the owner of the Dee-Lite Restaurant and her own hair salon.  Betty was the first female President of Downtown Unlimited and was a volunteer at the North Ottawa Community Hospital Gift Shop. She was a very active member of the United Methodist Church of the Dunes.  Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A private family service will take place in August. Interment has taken place at Lake Forest Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Klaassen Family Funeral Home to help with expenses.
