Alice Irene Sachteleben

Alice Irene Sachteleben, age 92, of Grand Haven passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Alice was born May 9, 1925 to the late Vern & Minnie (Sawyer) Hilliker in Boyne City, MI. She married Albert Sachteleben on August 22, 1955 in South Bend, IN. Albert passed away October 23, 1994.  Alice was a former member of First Baptist Church of Middleville and Fellowship Bible Church in Grand Haven where she was active in the choir. She cherished the time she was able to spend visiting friends and family especially her much-loved grandchildren. Alice was a great lover of animals. She enjoyed crocheting many works of art and loved playing Bingo in her spare time. Alice is survived by her loving family; son, Albert T. (Marilisa) Sachteleben II, grandchildren, Molly (Jeremy) Pree, Albert (Samantha) Sachteleben III, Jakob (Abbey Gannon) Sachteleben & Emma (Stefano Apostle) Sachteleben; great-grandchildren, Moses, Silas & Lola Pree; brother, Virtol Hilliker of Schillington, PA and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, 4 sisters & 3 brothers. The Funeral Service for Alice will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24 at Pinewood Place in Grand Haven with Pastor Kevin Miller officiating. Friends may meet the family 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Salvation Army.
