Ethel Lynne Williams-Bridgeforth

U.S. Veteran

Ethel Lynne Williams-Bridgeforth, age 72, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010, at home. She was born on August 12, 1937 to the late Rev. Jimmie and Larlie (Cooper) Williams in Morgan County, AL. After graduating high school, Lynne served her country in the U.S. Army and Air Force. She then married James Bridgeforth. Lynne was employed by Crown Steel of West Bloomfield, MI. She is survived by her sons: Yancey D. Bridgeforth & Keith B. (Lisa) Bridgeforth, both of Grand Haven; grandchildren: Shirl, Lauren, Lynda, Kellum, & Jaden Bridgeforth; great-grandchild, Andreuna Harris; sisters: Geraldine B. Lockwood of Detroit, Elizabeth A. Bazemore of Lakewood, WA, Lynne J. Collier of Hillsboro, AL, and Harriette F. Williams of Decatur, AL; and brothers: Jimmie Williams, Jr. of Detroit, McRay A. Williams, Leon C. Williams, and Robert J. Williams all of Decatur, AL, George R. Williams of Atlanta, GA and Roy B. Williams of Detroit. She was preceded in death by her siblings Willie, Julia, Mary, and Charles. The service for Lynne will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jerald Poehl officiating. Interment will be at Sterrs Cemetery in Decatur, AL. Family will greet friends and relatives from 1—5 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Pinewood Plaza Community Room. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
