Reatha A. (Wagenmaker) Presley

Mrs. Reatha A. (Wagenmaker) Presley, age 74 of Grand Haven passed away after a brief illness on July 3, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on July 9, 1937 in Muskegon to the late Clarence and Tressa (Witt) Diephouse. Reatha married Robert A. Wagenmaker Sr. on November 17, 1955 in Grand Haven. He passed away May 23, 1988. She then married R. Scott Presley on March 1, 1997 in Grand Haven. She has lived in Grand Haven most of her life and wanted everyone to know that Jesus, Scott and family were the center of her life. Reatha was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church where she was very active and involved as a Stephen Minister, Bible Study, Wednesday night suppers, kitchen volunteer, Story Hour and a Deaconess many times. She was a great baker and one of her many ministry gifts were to distribute her goodies to many others over the years. Reatha loved going to her cottage at Big Blue Lake and spending time with her husband Scott, her loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to spend time in Florida during the winter and was an avid gardener. Reatha is survived by her loving family; husband, Scott; children; Deb (Curt ) Walburg, Robert A. (Deborah) Wagenmaker Jr., Randy (Lora) Wagenmaker, Dawn (Tim) Smith, Diane (Eric) Deiters and Dawn (Brian) Boyink. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; her brother Alvin Diephouse; in-Laws; Dee Wolffis, Ruth (Tom) VanderLaan, Jan (Larry) Grabinski, Mary (Roger) Stroud and Dr. David (Gloria) Presley. The Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Second Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Michael Koetje officiating. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery. Friends are invited to greet the family 2—4 and 7—9 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to Juvenile Diabetes, American Cancer Society, or the 2nd Christian Reformed Church Endowment Fund.
